HQSC wanted to engage with an interior designer so we introduced them to the team at Catalyst Consulting. We worked directly with HQSC throughout the project for the furniture selection and Kahli Jenkins from Catalyst took care of the interior design, hard joinery and Autex tiles.
HQSC wanted to create more breakout space over the two floors and move to a height adjustable desking system. They were also outsourcing meeting room space to nearby hotels and decided to use the refurbishment as an opportunity to bring that back in house.
The furniture selection and interior design were key elements of meeting these requirements for HQSC, particularly the creation of more meeting room space.
HQSC had a great vision for what they wanted to achieve as an end result and this allowed us to present a good range of fabric choices and furniture options to achieve a cohesive finished product.
We worked collaboratively alongside Catalyst and HQSC to ensure the palette and furniture supported their brand and created an engaging and fresh environment for the staff. Our installer worked outside of business hours throughout the delivery and installation phase, this meant staff arrived at work with ready to use systems so there was no disruption to work flow.
As part of our post occupancy support it was important for us to ensure that the staff using the furniture were comfortable adjusting it to suit their individual requirements. We spent time sharing knowledge around correct standing height and sitting heights to ensure maximum comfort and best use of the height adjustable work stations.
We enjoyed an open and clear consultative process with HQSC, it meant communication was effective and worked towards achieving the ultimate goal of creating a workspace that performs.
